Chapter 11: Money
Vocabulary: $1 bill, $5 bill, $10 bill, $20 bill, cent sign, dollar sign, decimal point, table
Objectives:
- Recognize $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills
- Show and count money using coins and bills to $20
- Write money amount using dollars and cents
- Write dollars as cents and cents as dollars
- Compare amounts of money using tables
- Use bar models to solve real-world problems involving addition and subtraction of money

Cursive
Week 5 Lowercase Letters are: d, g, q (qu)
Their homework is to watch the video and leave a comment on the blog. This week, we continued to learn how to solve problems using the STEP acronym:

Second Grade in Pictures
I am so excited for cursive this week because I learned another letter of my name.
I am so excited because we have almost learned the whole lowercase alphabet. My favorite letter this week was d because its in my name.
My favorite letter is d also because it is in my name Maddie.

The letter Q was the hardest!
I liked to learn g and q in cursive because they are similar.
That q was so hard but the others were simple.
I thought the q was hard because it was hard to remember to go backwards.
D’s were very hard for me!
The g and q where the hardest but the d was easy. I liked writing grade because it helped me work on my r’s.
I am so proud that I have learned q d g😋😋
the p and q are so so slimier.
The D was super hard but the q and g were easy.
I’m happy because we have learned 20 crsive letters
My favorite letter is s.
We learned g my letter! when I heard we were doing g I got excited!
WOW! We just learned 20 letters!
It is gonna be an awesome week with are new cursive letters g,d,and q.
They are all hard but I will learn the letters d,g, and q quickly.
G was good but it was hard.
I think the letter G is hard because it has to many curves.
I’m gonna have so much fun writing these new cursive letters
